FAQ
Straight answers before you stop in.
What to know about the shop, walk-ins, custom work, pricing, consultations, and taking care of the tattoo after you leave.
Where is Social Suicide Tattoos located?
The shop is in Pahrump, Nevada at 1541 E Basin Ave. #3, Pahrump, NV 89060.
What is the best way to contact the shop?
Call the shop at 775-990-4334 or stop by in person. For tattoo questions, availability, walk-ins, and consultation details, a direct call or visit is the clearest way to get an answer.
Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins depend on the day, the design, and the artist's workload. Small pieces may be possible when time is open, but calling first is the easiest way to know what is realistic that day.
Do I need an appointment?
Larger custom pieces, portraits, memorial work, and detailed black and grey tattoos usually need more planning than a walk-in. Call or stop by with your idea so the shop can point you in the right direction.
What styles do you focus on?
Social Suicide Tattoos is known for black and grey, portraits, lettering, memorial pieces, custom work, select color, and flash when it fits the project.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Prices are very reasonable, even by Pahrump standards, but every tattoo is still priced by the piece. Size, placement, detail, color, drawing time, and how long the tattoo needs to be done correctly all matter. Bring a clear idea, reference images, placement, and approximate size for better guidance.
Do I need a deposit?
No. Don does not accept deposits and discourages other artists from taking them. Respect goes both ways: if you no-call/no-show, find another shop. If the shop has to cancel an appointment, Don usually makes it up to you.
Do you rework existing tattoos?
Reworks and coverups are handled case by case. The artist needs to see what is already there, how dark it is, how it healed, and what you want next before giving an honest answer.
What should I bring to a consultation?
Bring reference images, placement ideas, approximate size, and any details that matter to the piece. References help communicate direction, but the final tattoo should be designed for the body and built to hold.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Eat beforehand, drink water, avoid alcohol, wear comfortable clothing that gives access to the tattoo area, and bring valid ID. Arrive clean, rested, and ready to sit.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. The shop generally has a fairly lively atmosphere, and bringing someone with you is usually fine. Just be respectful of the space, the artist, and the other clients in the shop.
Do you tattoo minors?
Yes, minors 14 and older may be considered with parent or legal guardian consent and proper identification. Don still has the final say. He will not do impulsive tattoos on young people that they are likely to regret in a few years. Expect a full discussion about the tattoo, the meaning behind it, and the long-term implications.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
Most tattoos go through the main surface-healing stage in about two to three weeks, but deeper settling can take longer. Follow the aftercare instructions your artist gives you for your specific tattoo.
What if I need to reschedule?
Simple: call ahead as soon as possible. Things come up, and rescheduling is usually not a problem when you keep the shop in the loop.
